Burrator Reservoir is near Yelverton and is surrounded by woodland!  The reservoir was built in 1898 and is a popular destination for walkers, horse riders and cyclists.  The open moor, Dartmoor tors and woodland offer many footpaths, trails and bridlepaths to suit all tastes, ages and abilities.  The reservoir is stock with rainbow trout, the reservoir is managed by South West Water and the circuit if around 3.5 miles.
